About us
The Group was formed in June 2003 as a centre for the milling heritage of Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire. It sees itself as complementary to existing local organisations such as the local industrial archaeology societies.
Aims and objectives
- To provide a forum for wind and water mill owners and enthusiasts
- To provide an exchange of ideas and information on anything molinological
- To be a centre for the mill heritage of Wessex (covering Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire)
- To publish a newsletter
- To organise visits and talks
- To reflect the interests of our members

Membership
We welcome new members. Membership costs £8 a year for an individual or £10 a year for a couple living at the same address and receiving one copy of the newsletter between them. To apply, please print a copy of our application form (for which you will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader), complete all the required details, and post it with your membership fee to:
